Pam Huff Horse: Chloe is a sweet 11-year old Paint that Ain’t mare, with a wonderful, sweet disposition who loves to be hugged and loved all over! Family: I have a very loving and supportive husband, Dave, who travels to all the competitions and parades and keeps Chloe and me safe by watching out for us. Dave also supports the other team members in help with tack, horse holding and even assisting with costumes! We have 4 children, and 1 granddaughter who we hope to get riding here in the near future. Drill History: About 2 years ago I saw an ad for High Valley Riders looking for new members, and I checked it out and have been hooked ever since. Chloe and I will be starting our third season with High Valley Riders this fall, and we love every single minute of practice – even in the dead of winter when our ears are frozen and our feet (or hands, depending on who’s talking) are numb! The ladies and other horses we ride with are a great bunch and we wouldn’t trade being a part of this team for anything. Why I Enjoy Drill: Drill helps build me as a better rider and stresses working as a team; we are all working towards a goal – to do our best and have great fun, all at the same time. My confidence has increased 100-fold since I started participating in drill, and I actually can sit in the saddle without bumping all over the place when moving faster than a walk – now Chloe and I love to burn up the arena – yeehaw! Motto: “Love to ride, ride to live!” |
