I ride Roper, a buckskin quarter horse from the Jet Deck line. I got him off a cattle ranch in Eastern Washington. We have taken reining lessons with Dick Gately of Monroe. I think reining training is good basic skill level for drill maneuvers.

I started riding after my daughter gave up her Pony Club horse, Shawn. I learned basic English riding and then switched to western to join the drill team.  It took me a several years to find the right horse!  In my work life I am Director of Development for the YMCA of Greater Seattle.  I also serve on the Sammamish City Council. I am married to Bob  who is as crazy about golf as I am about horses! and I have two grown daughters, Rochelle & Renee, and live on 3 acres with our horses and dog, Bella.

My favorite maneuver is the Cloverleaf, I love this crazy move because it is so thrilling for the
rider and the audience to watch!
