Mary
Name: Mary E. Gallagher

Horse: Jags Super Salley (Tilly) is a 7 year old Paint mare. I purchased her 3 years ago from a ranch in Ellensburg. I originally purchased her to show her in hunter under saddle, but have since shown her in jumpers, eventing, western pleasure and of course drill.

Family: I'm the youngest in the family. My entire family (even my older brother) have all been incredibly supportive of my love of horses. They even make it out to a show or two to cheer me on from the sidelines.

Drill History: None :)! I've shown in hunter/jumper for over 10 years. Working at the Ellensburg Rodeo last summer inspired me to try a different style of riding. I was just kind of thrown into this whole drill thing last winter and I haven't looked back since!

Why I Enjoy Drill: I love learning how to do new things with my horse. Drill has challenged me to learn a new style of riding as well as challenging my horse. Since riding is usually a solitary sport, I enjoy how drill makes horses a team event. Drill has made me a better rider and Tilly a better horse. I can't wait for us to continue to learn and grow with the team!

Motto: If at first you don't succeed, try, try again! ps- I find this whole motto thing VERY corny!!)
