Hi my name is Jessica and I have a horse addiction and now a drill addiction. My drill horse Otoes Gay Bar "Stinger" was a reining horse for quite a while when he was younger and then went on to do hunters, dressage and be a lesson horse. He now makes his living doing drill team, gaming, cattle sorting, trail rides and the occasional show.

I knew Stinger for 7 years before he joined my family. When my friend decided to sell him I knew I had to have him. He reminds me of my old drill partner a wonderful blind appaloosa gelding named Snowball that passed away at the age of 32. He is helping to heal the hole in my heart.

My family consists of Andrew my husband of ten plus years, our son Christian, Emily our daughter, Patch our dog, Fuzzybutt the cat, and of course the horses Stinger, Rosie, Phoenix, Triggar, Mocha the mini, and Honey with one on the way. Andrew and I were high school sweethearts that ironically enough met in a barn.

The rest as they say is history.

I love the sport of drill and all the close friendships it brings. I have wanted to be on a team like this since I was a little kid. Now I have it. It is like a HUGE extended family. Not that I need an even bigger family considering my husband alone has ten siblings. But I love the fun and camaraderie involved.

My favorite drill maneuver is probably the full team sweep. It is especially fun to watch and perform with as many riders as our team puts in the dirt. I also LOVE the quads.

I am a huge advocate for the blind or sight impaired horse. I myself have owned one fully blind horse and now have a one eyed pony and another half blind pony. Despite not having perfect vision or any in some cases these horses can and still go on with life and continue to do everything and even a lot of things some sighted horses have a hard time doing. All of my blindies have continued to show, drive, jump, game, do drill, give lessons and trail ride. Blindness is not a handicap unless you let it be.
